From August 8 to 10, 2024, the Himdent Foundation conducted a successful dental health camp at J.H.S .Chamasari in the Thatyud block, a 4-hour journey from Dehradun. Dr. Aditya Vohra led the initiative with an engaging orientation lecture, highlighting the importance of preventive dental care. The first day saw 43 children receiving dental check-ups, with treatments progressing over the next two days. The team completed 39 fillings on the second day and, following a revised lecture, finished 53 fillings for 44 students on the final day.
The camp was a great success, not only for the treatments provided but also for its role in spreading awareness about preventable dental issues. By focusing on education and awareness, the Himdent Foundation empowers children with the knowledge they need to maintain good oral hygiene. Head Teacher Mr. Lakhiram Chauhan praised the efforts, and the positive feedback from students reflected the lasting impact of the program. This camp is part of Himdent’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that children in remote areas can access essential dental care and understand the importance of prevention for a healthier future.
