On September 3-4, 2024, Himdent Foundation held a follow-up dental camp at J.H.S. Dwara and G.I.C. Dwara in Raipur Block, Dehradun, under the Smiling School Program. The camp saw Dr. Aditya Vohra delivering a comprehensive dental health lecture, followed by check-ups and treatments for 60 children. The camp’s focus was on cavity fillings, scaling, and promoting oral hygiene practices.
Follow-up camps like this one are crucial for sustaining the progress made during previous visits. In dental outreach, initial treatments are often just the beginning; ensuring that children maintain their oral health requires regular check-ups and reinforcement of good dental habits. This follow-up camp not only provided much-needed dental care but also strengthened the children’s understanding of preventive oral hygiene.
The appreciation from the school staff and students underlined the value of consistent dental health interventions.
