The Himdent Foundation’s recent dental camp at G.P.S. Tyunakoti, Chakrata, was a testament to perseverance and dedication. After a scenic but challenging 5-hour drive, the team faced a 1 km trek through rugged terrain, carrying essential equipment to the remote school. Dr. Aditya Vohra began with a 1.5-hour orientation lecture to raise awareness about dental health, followed by 22 check-ups and permanent fillings on the first day.
Despite a power outage from 8 am to 1 pm the next day, the team pressed on, completing 28 permanent fillings and 2 scalings, working diligently until 5:30 pm. The head teacher and staff were deeply impressed by the camp’s impact, reinforcing the importance of providing essential healthcare services to remote communities.
This camp exemplifies Himdent Foundation’s commitment to ensuring that children in the farthest corners of the country receive the dental care and preventive education they need.
